eBay tip of the day: How to do an appeal at eBay
If you have ever felt that you have been done wrong by eBay there is a certain way to go about it. The correct way is the business way, the wrong way is the emotional way.
Dont ever use this line: " I pay $2000 a month to eBay in fees, they should treat me different or give me a break." First eBay doesn't really treat ANY body different. I happen to know that even the biggest accounts, get restricted, items removed, suspended, everyday and they have to go through the same process as everyone else. Emotional appeals rarely work at eBay, main reason- they are highly regulated by a vast amount of committees, some government, as to what they can and can't do. If your only argument is an emotional, or special treatment then fugedaboudit.
Every appeal must be factual and to the point. These are more successful. Fact based is NOT, "Well I waited 5 weeks for the item and it never appeared so I gave him a negative and he gave me a negative and that is not fair...waaahh!!!" Doesnt work.
Fact based is: He left me a negative feedback that contains my home phone number." That can be removed.
Think before you put your appeal in: Is this factual or emotional. You will have a much better chance of having your appeal go through if it is just the facts.
