The email marketing page

Todays eBay Tip:

The email marketing newsletter is THE key to repeat business if using eBay tools. The basic store offers more emails than you would probably ever need, 5000 a month, and is a great way to get a fan base started.

Some cool sales I have seen are:

Anniversary Sale: free shipping

Two for Tuesday:buy two get free shipping

eBays Birthday: Buy two get one free

National Ham Sandwich Day: get half off of your second purchase if you ate a ham sandwich today

Any reason is great. Your emails should be brief and to the point.

Wording on your description page

Todays eBay Tip:

Remember that most of the time you have about three seconds of reading on your description page. It's important to catch your buyers attention and not waste it on mundane information. If you have too much information at the beginning and not enough pictures, your buyer WILL NOT read the rest.

Seperate your description page with upclose pictures of the product to keep your readers attention for the rest of your text

eBay tip of the day:
Selling Manager Pro is the one eBay tool that is worth the money.

If you haven't tried the Selling Manager Pro template it is definitely my favorite eBay tool. It allows you to make edits on your listings in bulk, relist items quickly and get your sales view at a glance. I like the email marketing program, the markdown manager tool is great when it is working properly, and you can easily customize it to show only what you need to see.

If you haven't tried Selling Manager Pro. I highly recommend it.

eBay tip of the Day

Detailed Seller Ratings:

The Stars that are now a part of the feedback may soon come to be a big part of the eBay shopping experience. Starting now in the UK the auctions will be displayed by best DSR scores first. In particular, the best shipping experience first.

This is the time before the new year starts to get your DSR scores up as high as you can. There may be some great things coming for those who have high scores in this area.

eBay has mentioned that they really want to increase the incentives to the good sellers. And as eBay feels these Detailed Seller Ratings are the best thing yet to determine good sellers, I would highly recommend getting these scores up quickl

eBay Tip of the Day:

Whats Lamer than a Winger album?

Not Trying to get more eBay repeat business!

More email marketing!!! If you haven't tried the email marketing in the stores section of eBay, you are missing out on some great repeat business. The email marketing links are easy to set up and if you offer items like free shipping, or a discount for your current customers you are going to retain your business. Also including a sale on your invoices like "Free Shipping on any order made in the next 5 days" Is a great way to get more repeat business, and maintain customer loyalty.

I am not sure what happened in this picture, they say that the frog was probably a tadpole in this bag first, but that is just insane. But it is listings with something like this in it that get incredible hits. The eBay community is actually very talkative and love to pass on great listings. If you can find something clever to include in your listings, you will be surprised by how fast they spread. Take for example the shibbyshirts listing, item number, 190175794782. (look it up in advanced search) It contains a funny video of HE-Man, and the hits keep climbing.

First Post

This is the first Post of the eBangels blog. I have had quite a few eBayers aske me to make a blog to capture some of my ideas to create more revenue on eBay.

I will post new ideas regularly and if you have ideas for new topics or just want to tell me how much my ideas stink feel free to post comments!

eBay TIP OF THE DAY:

eBay has a new initiate that restricts members who have negative or nuetral feedback that is 5% of the total feedback over a 90 day peroid. If you receive any negative or neutral feedbacks MUTUALLY WITHDRAW them as soon as possible. The restriction is very hard to get out of, so respond to your buyers negative or neutral feedback as quickly as possible.

visit Toolhaus.org to see how close you are to being restricted or to see how close a seller that you are buying from is to being restricted. It is a free site, and very helpful!
